Something for everyone of all ages from beginner to the professional angler.
Summertime on Autumn Lake boasts a large population of Bass, Blue gill, and Crappie. Relax and enjoy from one of our docks or venture out in one of our provided boats or kayaks for a day of action packed fishing excitement.
As the leaves change in September, so does our local fishery, the Salmon River. The Salmon River is known second best in the world to the Kenai river in Alaska. It's yearly run of King and Koho Salmon includes fish that range from 20-30 lbs. Anglers from all over the world flock to the Salmon River annually for this renowned fishing adventure. Our cottages located less than 1/4 mile from the fly fishing section of the river and less then 10-15 minutes from over 12 other public access points.
After the Salmon have had there run they are followed by Steel head and Brown Trout ranging in size from 5-15lbs a bit smaller than the King Salmon, but by anyone's standard a large fish. They can be very aggressive and a challenge to land. These fish can be caught well into May depending on water flow.
Along with these highlighted fisheries there are many more in, steams and tribunes that can be found all seasons of the year in the Tug Hill region. The New York State DEC has maps and a season syllabus online to help plan your next fishing adventure.
